One for the Boys; GQ's Top 50 Best Dressed Men in the UK

If you take a look at this years Top 50 Best Dressed Men list that GQ has compiled, you boys (and your girlfriends/wives) can breathe a sigh of relief. This year there are no hard or fast rules on what styles or trends to follow, the list shows men - and boys - that wear clothing ranging from Saville Row to Streetwear, quite literally, anything goes.
So, let's take a look at the list:

1. Aaron Johnson 2. Douglas Booth 3. Nicholas Hoult 4. Robert Pattinson 5. Prince Harry 6. David Furnish 7. Tom Ford 8. Alex James 9. Jenson Button 10. Bill Nighy 11. David Walliams 12. Matt Smith 13. Dominic Cooper 14. Patrick Grant 15. Tinie Tempah 16. David Beckham 17. David Gandy 18. Adrien Sauvage 19. George Lamb 20. David Cameron 21. Sir Elton John 22. Ben Barnes 23. Theo Hutchcraft of Hurts 24. Tom Hardy 25. William Gilchrist 26. Romeo Beckham 27. Prince William 28. Ray Winstone 29. Jude Law 30. Jarvis Cocker 31. Laurence Graff 32. Plan B 33. Christopher Bailey 34. Mark Ronson 35. Matthew Goode 36. Bryan Ferry 37. Arthur Wellesley, Earl of Mornington 38. Stephen Webster 39. Frankie Francis of Frankie and the Heartstrings 40. Dermot O'Leary 41. Benedict Cumberbatch 42. Alasdhair Willis 43. Simon Cowell 44. = Luke Sweeney and Thom Whiddett 46. Charles Finch 47. David Hockney 48. Sergio Pizzorno 49. Nick Hart 50. Daniel Day-Lewis
Some of these men, I can understand; Simon Cowell has an arrogance that can attract even the most liberal woman, so his suave, if not sometimes repetitive, style should be recognised. Again, Jude Law, some would say the modern day equivalent of Cary Grant, and Hollywood star, obviously gets the nod, Tom Ford - need I explain? And so on.
Debuting at number 26 is 8 year old Romeo Beckham - quite possibly the most shocking addition to the list at first thought, however, looking further into this, I think the boys at GQ have got it right - look at the picture to the left, he has the style of a classic 'tween' star - Justin Bieber-esque if you ask me.
Again, 2 more debuts - surprising only for the fact they weren't on the list before now, are the 2 princes William and Harry at 27 and 5 respectively. Harry apparently made it higher because he has an effortless style 'like he doesn't care'. Which I believe means he can wear what he wants and still look good.
The overall winner this year is 'Kick Ass' and 'Nowhere Boy' star Aaron Johnson, pushing last years winner Robert Pattinson to number 4. This is definitley a rising star in the fashion world, mixing Hollywood starlet with Geek-chic to create his own individual style, however, is he a worthy winner? Only time, or fashion, will tell....
